Vera Crochet History

Last night, as I thought about when I learned to crochet, my mind led me to the memory of my aunt whose name is Di Du. When she was a college student, her school was close to my house, so she often stopped by and chatted with my siblings and me. She loved us and always had a cheerful countenance as I still can remember her quite well. I was about twelve years old at that time. She was in college to be a teacher. So one of those times when she dropped by, I saw her cute crochet bag and needles, as a young girl I was curious. So I asked if she could show me how. She taught me the basic stitches. She said : " That is all you need to know for now, then you keep on doing it, you will be able to do a lot more. "  I loved these words from her, and the passion about crocheting that she shared with me, and her loving manner is still remained in me as a good memory.

Yes, her saying turns out to be true that I have done a lot more projects from those first stitches.

Thank you for reading this. If you like my products and give me good compliments, I would like to pay that honor to Di Du who has taught me the first stitches of crocheting.

From crocheting, I figured our how to knit as well. So I combined the two skills to make some fun and nice projects for gifts and now for sell. Even though, I also pursue a teaching career as an educator, keeping on crocheting as a side work has been a great enjoyment for me. I love what I made and created. Smile ! I believe that my creativity is given and enlighten to me by the Spirit of God because I believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.

I guess that is enough to tell for now.

I will try to record some videos on how to do basic crochet stitches to share to you as my own later. I do not have a video camera yet, so I do not know how long it will takes me to provide them, but I will search for some good ones on youtube and share with you on my facebook site and here.

Thank you for reading. Have a good day! Come and explore more when you will.

Cheers
